Getting Comfortable with Free-Motion Quilting
Improve your decision making, curves, precision and stitch length through Christina's exercises designed for newer free-motion quilters.
This is the class for quilters who have had an introduction to some basic free-motion quilting but haven't found a sense of ease with it yet. Working with four basic designs you get clear stitching instruction and a chance to refine your skills, growing more comfort with FMQ along the way.

We know practice is important for getting better at free-motion quilting. So this beginner friendly class includes a built in practice project. As you work through the lessons you're quilting a panel you can turn into a set of quilted buckets like the ones above. The printable pattern for these buckets is included!
You'll need a sewing machine set up for free-motion quilting. Before you take this class please make sure your machine can free-motion quilt without frequent thread breaking or other problems. You'll also prepare an 18 x 40" quilt sandwich to do your stitching on.
Not much. If you have ever successfully free-motion quilted on your home machine, even for 10 minutes, then I would say you're ready for this class. This class isn't set up to help you take those first few stitches, or help you with machine problems, but once you've gotten those things out of the way, you're ready. If you need help with these things, check out my book "First Steps to Free-Motion Quilting".
Class access ends December 26th, 2023
The class price is $45.
